dachnug48 Conclusion and Summary – DNUG Annual Conference 2021
As announced, Dachnug48 took place in June 2021, which is organised by the user group in the German-speaking region for collaboration and is considered one of the most important conferences and events in relation to HCL products and HCL software.
In addition to online regulars’ tables, DNUG also offers various specialist group meetings and workshops. With DACHNUG48 as the annual conference, the largest opportunity for exchange with the Notes community was now offered and was able to address many different interested parties with a wide range of topics. The focus was on the HCL Collaborations products and the entire HCL portfolio.
Event Highlights
Just like at previous conferences, participants had the opportunity to delve deeper into the most important topics in various sessions, workshops, keynote speeches and tracks.
This year’s event offered a lot of exciting content, speakers and news from the industry. Traditionally, Richard Jefts (Vice President of Development and General Manager, HCL Digital Solutions) opened the day with his introductory talk regarding HCL. This was mainly about the innovations to be expected with Domino V12.0.1. The participants also had the opportunity to ask questions afterwards.
Before the first day of DACHNUG 2021 ended with various networking opportunities, the different specialist groups introduced themselves, which, in addition to Domino, also include the specialist groups Connections, Sametime, Administration, Development and Mobile.
Another important speaker during the rest of the event was Darren Oberst (Senior Corporate Vice President and Board Member HCL). The main topics were HCL’s growth, turnover and everything to do with HCL software. He was joined by Tom Zeizel (Head of HCL Software in DACH), who presented the HCL Software DACH team and its organisation. He was supported by all managers and speakers such as Tanja Mantel, Melanie Hornig and Till Paschke. Here, the focus was on the HCL Software products, i.e. Digital Solutions, DevSecOps incl. BigFix and Customer Experience incl. Unica.
Press event for the press representatives
The press event, which took place for the first time in this form, also deserves special mention. Here, press representatives from Germany and Switzerland were able to gather information and Darren Oberst, Richard Jefts and Tom Zeizel were available to answer the press representatives’ questions via a Sametime meeting.
In addition to the usual networking offers, the dachnug48 with its topics and presentations was successfully used by numerous participants. Once again, we can look back on a successful conference and look forward to the next event in June 2022 at the Bodenseeforum.
